Become an Engineer, Manager, and Entrepreneur
How do you define the engineering profession?
According to the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI), “the engineer’s job consists of posing, studying and solving, in an effective and innovative way, often complex problems of creation, design, realisation, implementation and control, concerning products, systems or services — and possibly their financing and marketing – within a competitive organisation. It takes into account concerns for the protection of people, life and the environment, and more generally for collective well-being”.
What about an ITEEM engineer?
The hallmark of an ITEEM engineer is his or her ability to manage complexity and change on a regional, national and international level, whatever the size of the company and in its entirety: technological, financial, commercial, societal, environmental, and the list goes on. Proposing disruptive ways of working, opening up new markets in line with new uses, developing innovative community projects, driving changes that have an impact on our society or our environment, managing the setting up of a subsidiary, creating a company — the opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship are abundant for ITEEM graduates!
When I came to ITEEM, I didn’t think that women had such a significant role to play in engineering!
