Admission to the ITEEM engineering course

Inscription

All applicants (including those with a foreign baccalaureate) must apply via the Parcoursup national portal. Admission is only possible for the first year. Admission to the competitive entrance examination cannot be renewed for the following year.

Competition terms and conditions

The competition procedures are different for candidates educated in mainland France and those educated outside mainland France.

 

Applicants educated in mainland France

First stage

Written test

The written test is made up of several distinct parts: mathematics, scientific knowledge, general knowledge, economics, French and English, all presented in the form of multiple-choice questions. The test takes place over half a day.

There are several possible examination centres for the written test: Lille, Lyon, Nantes and Paris.

The dates of the tests in the examination centres are available on the Parcoursup national portal.

Alongside the first stage

Examination of the file

The examination of the candidate’s file is based on :

  • report cards from the first year and the first two terms of the final year.
  • teachers’ assessments.
  • marks from the baccalauréat pre-tests.

Second stage

Please note: only candidates selected at the end of the first stage may take part in the second stage.

Oral test

The oral test consists of a 20-minute interview, the first 5 minutes of which will be devoted to the presentation of a personal experience of which the candidate is particularly proud.

Results

The results are published on the national Parcoursup portal.

 

Applicants educated outside mainland France

First stage

Examination of the file

The examination of the candidate’s file is based on :

Seconde step

Please note: only candidates selected at the end of the first stage may take part in the second stage.

2 oral tests

The first test lasts 20 minutes and consists of a series of short questions designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge in the scientific field.
A second, also lasting 20 minutes, consisting of an interview. The first 5 minutes will be devoted to the presentation of a personal experience of which the candidate is particularly proud.

Results

The results are published on the national Parcoursup portal.

 

Registration fees

The application fee is 50 euros. Applicants in receipt of a French secondary or higher education grant are exempt from the application fee.
