Admission to the ITEEM engineering course

Inscription

All applicants (including those with a foreign baccalaureate) must apply via the Parcoursup national portal. Admission is only possible for the first year. Admission to the competitive entrance examination cannot be renewed for the following year.

€2,572 per year (in 2025)

Competition terms and conditions

Access to the competition is open to :

  • students in their final year of general studies (regardless of specialization) at a French lycée,
  • students holding a general or S baccalauréat from a French lycée,
  • students in their final year of preparation or holders of a foreign diploma equivalent to the French scientific or general baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate.

Nature of the tests

First stage

Written test

The written test is made up of several distinct parts: mathematics, scientific knowledge, general knowledge, economics, French and English, all presented in the form of multiple-choice questions.

The test takes place over half a day via an online platform and a study of the candidate’s academic record.

The ITEEM can accommodate candidates on the day of the written tests if necessary in the event of technical impediments or specific arrangements (the candidate must contact the ITEEM school no later than 72 hours before the first test).

At the same time, study of the file

The examination of the candidate’s file is based on :

  • report cards from the first year and the first two terms of the final year.
  • teachers’ assessments.
  • marks from the baccalauréat pre-tests.

Second stage

Please note: only candidates selected at the end of the first stage may take part in the second stage.

Oral test

The oral test consists of a 20-minute interview, the first 5 minutes of which will be devoted to the candidate presenting a personal experience of which he or she is proud. This test will assess:

  • The candidate’s team spirit and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Commitment and investment in extra-curricular activities;
  • Open-mindedness and curiosity;
  • The match between the applicant’s educational project and the training provided at ITEEM;
  • Willingness to argue and give reasons for one’s choices.

This test may take place in person or by videoconference, depending on the candidate’s preference.

Results

The results are published on the national Parcoursup portal.

 

Registration fees

The application fee is 50 euros. Applicants in receipt of a French secondary or higher education grant are exempt from the application fee.
